Health
This week I received some sad news. My friend's son, just eleven years old, was diagnosed with cancer. It's hard to comprehend something like this. Not long ago, he was running around the playground, laughing, planning his summer holidays. And now, he's facing a battle no one, especially not a child, deserves.
It made me reflect. Each of us has a million worries. We're behind at work, irritated by traffic, arguing over trivial things. But when illness strikes, everything else suddenly loses its meaning. All that remains is us, our body, our health – or the lack of it.
Health is taken for granted until we lose it. And then we realize that everything else – money, plans, stress – is secondary. That's why we must value every day we wake up without pain. Every simple moment when we can hug our loved ones, take a walk, breathe.
Try to stop for a moment today. Realize that even if not everything is perfect, you have the most important thing – health. And if your loved ones have it too, that's a reason to be grateful. Because when health is gone, from a million problems, only one remains.
Let's take care of ourselves, listen to our bodies, and above all – let's not forget what really matters.
