Friday the 13th
Friday the 13th is a special day because it occurs maximum of three times a year. I don't know how it is in your country, but in mine, it's considered a very unlucky day, and a lot of people believe in this superstition. I was curious about why that is.
I'm not religions, but I've read this superstition might have started because Jesus Christ was crucified on Good Friday, and at the Last Supper, there were thirteen people at the table. The thirteenth person was Judas, who betrayed Christ. Also, the number thirteen is considered unlucky by some Jews because the thirteenth letter in the Hebrew alphabet is 'M, 'which is the first letter in the word 'mavet'meaning death.
But let's move to the present. I think people nowadays often overthink think that are actually pointless – like Friday the 13th. You can't just say ''Hey, its Friday the 13th, so it's going to be a bad day. ''If you believe that, then it probably will be a bad day. But here's the think: if you tell yourself that Friday the 13th going to be the best day of your life, then it probably will be. So don't dwell on the past, because the past is the past, and no one from the past can tell you that you're going to have a bad day. It's the same as when someone says that its unlucky if a black cat crosses your path. This cat just can't ruin your day, It's just an excuse.
Let me tell you something, it's all about luck. Friday the 13th, a black cat crossing the street - all these 'unlucky' superstition could actually be lucky ones.
Tomorrow is Friday the 13th, so think about it. It will be a great day!
