Don’t build a bigger wall, but a bigger table
In today's fast-paced world, we often close ourselves off in our own little worlds. We build invisible walls around us that separate us from others. We try to protect ourselves from problems, conflicts, and sometimes even emotions. But what if, instead of building higher walls, we built a bigger table?
Imagine a world where people come together more often, listen to each other, and support one another. Instead of keeping our distance and focusing only on ourselves, we could open our hearts and homes. It takes so little interest in others, a willingness to help, and genuine kindness.
History shows us that the greatest progress has not come from division but from cooperation. Whether in families, friendships, neighbourhoods, or society as a whole, the strength of a community lies in its ability to connect and be there for one another. When we offer a helping hand instead of turning away, we can change not just one person's life but entire communities.
Helping others does not mean sacrificing ourselves, but rather sharing what we have—our time, experiences, and empathy. Openness and mutual support create an environment where everyone feels welcome and accepted. After all, the world won't be a better place by building more walls, but by finding ways to bring people closer together.
Let's stop fearing the unknown, let's stop distancing ourselves from each other. Instead, let's build a bigger table, one that has room for everyone looking for a place to belong. Because only together can we create a world full of understanding, friendship, and love.
